1. What this site collects

The American edition has no forms and no accounts. The calculators run entirely in your browser: the numbers you type are never sent to the site.

2. Local storage

The calculators remember the state you last picked, in your browser's local storage, so the next calculator can reuse it. That information stays on your device and is never sent to us. Clearing your browser's site data erases it.

3. Cookies and analytics

No analytics cookie is set before you agree. When you arrive, consent is set to "denied" by default and the Google Analytics script is not even downloaded: no request is sent to Google until you accept.

If you accept, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic — pages viewed, referral source, device type — so we can tell which content actually answers a question and which needs rewriting. Clicks on Amazon links are counted as an event with the product name, to know which recommendations are useful. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.

Your choice, accept or decline, is kept in your browser's local storage so you are not asked on every page. You can change it at any time with "Manage cookies" at the bottom of every page: the banner reappears and you decide again.

4. Affiliate links

Links to Amazon on this site are affiliate links. When you follow them, Amazon may set its own cookies under its own privacy notice, which we do not control. As an Amazon Associate, this site earns from qualifying purchases.
